Carrot/Turnip Kanji

Another winter speciality. A great digestive. A must have in the winter.


Carrot Kanji by Dr. Kusum Rajkumar
Carrot Kanji | Baatein Kadhai Se

Ingredients


Carrots/ Turnip - 1 kg

Water - 5 litres

Rai Powder - 250 grams

Salt - 1 tablespoon/to taste

Method

Step 1 - Cut the carrots lengthwise & turnips are sliced in round shape.

Step 2 - Boil water, add all the vegetables & take them out after 2-3 minutes.

Step 3 - Cool the water, add salt, rai powder. Now add the vegetables again.

Step 4 - If making the turnip kanji, add 1 teaspoon turmeric powder.

Step 5 - Put the Kanji in the sun for 3-4 days.

Step 6 - Its done. Enjoy this digestive drink during the winter months.
