Khus Khus halua is an Indian dessert made on various occasions and festivals like Shivratri, Raksha Bandhan etc. It can be consumed by anyone observing fasts during these occasions.
Ingredients
Khus Khus/ Posta - 100 grams
Ghee - 2 tablespoons
Castor Sugar - 1 tablespoon
Dry fruits (optional) - raisins & chironji
Method
Step 1: Soak 100 grams of posta (Khus Khus) overnight & grind it in the morning.
Step 2: Heat ghee in a wok & fry the posta on low flame till golden brown.
Step 3: Add one cup water & castor sugar. Cover & cook on low flame till done.
Step 4 - Add dry fruits & serve hot.
One of my SWEETEST childhood memories... I can still feel the taste on my palate. It is simply yummy!!
