The Kayastha Mutton Shaami Kebabs is a great starter dish for lunch or dinner & can be served as a tasty snack too. Kebabs made with this recipe are delicious & simply melt in the mouth!
Ingredients
Mutton Mince - 500 grams
Yellow Split Peas (Chana Dal) - 2 tablespoons
Ginger - Garlic Paste - 2 tablespoons
Red Chilli Powder - 2 teaspoons
Homemakerz Garam Masala Powder - 2 teaspoons
Oil - 5-6 tablespoons
Salt to taste
Onion - 1 finely chopped
Green Chilli - 4 finely chopped
Ginger - 2 inches finely chopped
Coriander - 1/2 cup finely chopped
Method
Step 1 - Soak the chana dal for 1 hour.
Step 2 - Put mutton mince, chana dal, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, Homemakerz Garam Masala powder & salt in a pressure cooker & boil it.
Step 3 - Once the mutton mince is done, take it out in a pan & dry all the water released.
Step 4 - Put half of the mutton mince and grind it into a fine paste. Keep the other half aside.
Step 5 - Now put all the finely chopped ingredients and mix with the whole mutton mince.
Step 6 - Make small, round & flat kebabs.
Step 7 - Fry the kebabs gently on both sides on a non-stick pan till nicely browned.
Step 8 - Serve hot with green chutney & onion rings.
Tips:
1. For best results follow the recipe as variations might alter the taste.
2. Having said that, salt, oil & chilli are a personal choice, and should be added according to one's taste.
